Chapters 18-23
Choice c: So far, is this a novel about race? Class? Gender? Coming of Age? Place? Select and defend your answer.
So far I think that the book has been a mixture of race and class. I think that it has to do with class because all of the different class levels in Maycomb. The rich is the highest, middle class is second, the Cunninghams are next, the blacks are after, and the Ewells are on the bottom. This has alot to do with the community of maycomb and the book. Because aunt Alexandria is a Finch she thinks that she is the highest and richest family in all of Maycomb. She thinks that it is bad that Atticus is defending Tom Robinson she thinks it looks bad on the finch's name.
The reason that this book has to do with racisim is because in the town of Maycomb most of the white people hate the black people, just because they are black. A big reason for that is because they are in Alabama witch is in the south, and the south is was for racisim in the civil war. An example of racism in Maycomb is how the jury in the court were only going to let the Ewells win the case because Tom was black and the Ewells were white.

Chapters 12-15
Perspective: Aunt Alexandra
It hasnt been really good since I have moved in with Atticus. I have a compensation for Calpurnia. I dont like her taking care of the kids because you cant really trust her because she is a nigger. I was really Pensive, and I think that we should emerge Calpurnia. I should be the mom figure for Jem and Scout,I Should be the one that antagonizes them. It kind of bothers me that she took them to church the other day.I dont feel mad that I made Scout cry.
It was pretty funny that dill was trying to find out what the word rape means. I think he is starting to become kind of curios because he was in bed with Scout, and was under Scouts bed.
I am mad with the fact that the kids ran away with Atticus. I should have never gone to sleep knowing that they were asleep. When they got to the Jail Atticus was there so that Tom Robinson wouldn't get hurt. Mr. Tate lived in the Maycomb Tribune right next to the jail. Mr. Tate had a gun from the Maycomb Tribune just for preoccupation. It was really good that Scout made Mr. Cunningham feel bad about what he did to Tom Robinson. She was jus telling him that his son was a good kid, and that a lot of kids make fun of his son but She invited him to lunch. I think this will have an affect on the trial tomorrow

Chapters 9-12
Perspective Atticus
Lately has been really rough. My kids have been fighting with people just to defend me, our neighbors house burned down, and our other neighbor died. Misses Maudie handled her house being burned down pretty good. She actually was pretty happy that it burned down. She said that if it wouldn't have burned down by it self, she would have burned it down her self. She told jem and scout that she was going to build a new house and she was going to expand her garden.
Miss dubose was talking a lot of trash about me defending a black man. When jem and scout went down town, they bought a baton. When Jem found out that miss dubose was talking about me, he went into her yard with his baton and ruined her whole garden. We then later found that miss Dubose had past away.
I have been trying to teach my kids right from wrong but its really hard because they are so protective and territorial, like mockingbirds. I feel bad that I had to shoot that dog and have my kids find out that that I had a skill that was not really good and I am not proud of it. I'm glad that Calpurnia took the kids to the negro church. They got to see another side of Calpurnia and find out more about her and her culture.

Today was another wierd day in maycomb. It rained for the first time in a long time. Me and jem didnt have school so all day at home we were trying to build a snowman. That night was horibble, Misses Maudies house burned down and everybody was trying to help her as the fire was maligent. I think something got into Misses Maudie after her house burned down, because she was acting really nice to me. She was actually talking to me and telling me how she wanted to make her garden grow bigger.
I am so angry about every body talking about atticus and how he is helpng out a black person with his case, even though it is part of his job. Atticus even asked me if I cannot fight at school and to just calm down about the whole situation. For example like when we went to finch landing with uncle jack and Aunt Alexandria. I got in trouble because aunt Alexandrias grand son a kept on tormenting about Atticus and defending a black man, and I attaked him. It should have been unanimous about what was going on with atticus. It was so tryanny How uncle jack got me in trouble.

Today Was a really wierd day. Me and scout passed by the radleys house. I was daring her to touch the house but we were both too scared. After that me dill and scout were, playing a game where we try yo copy the radleys . Atticus got mad at us and told us to stop. Me and dill were trying to get boo out of his house by using a fishing pole to put a note in front of his house. The note was asking him if he wanted to come out and play with us,and that we would by him ice cream. Atticus got mad at us and told us to stop messing with boo radley.
After all of this dill went to miss rachels house because it was going to be his last day in maycomb. Me and dill also ent to boo radleys place at night to peek at him through the curtain. After all of this me dill and scout went up into the tree and found two peaces of gum, a clock, soap figures of me and scout, and a ball of yarn.

To Kill A Mockingbird
Scout
Today wasnt such a good day. I kept on getting in arguments with ms. caroline about atticus teaching me how to read.Ms. caroline didnt like the fact that I already knew how to read and write. She told me to tell atticus to stop teacing me how to read because that was her job. I also got in trouble by calpurnia because I kept on judging and talking about the cunninghams when walter was over for dinner.
The cunninghams are a really poor family. They live on a farm and only live off of what they have. Walter never brings school to lunch because he never has money or food at his house. Thats why me and jem invited him to eat at our house. Ms. caronline was embaressing him in class today. She wanted to let him borrow a quarter to go get him self something to eat downtown. After he said no she kept begging him to take the quarter. Everybodt knew that he wasnt taking the quarter because he wouldnt have been able to owe it back.

Were You scared About What happen to Joetta?
I was kind of scared because I didnt know what was happening to Joetta at the time. It was really scary. If I was Kenny I would be scared too. I mean who would want to see their sister dead even though she wasnt. I think that if I was in that situation I would be really scared too because I love my sisters.
What Happen With Joetta?
Joetta was fine after all that happen but it gave everybody in her family a fright. She had woke up really early on a Sunday morning to go to church. Kenny woke up to late so he didnt go, he regret it though. When Joetta was at church he Kenny was really hot so he sat under a tree in his backyard and just sat there to keep cool. Then something un expected happen. While Kenny was sitting down he heard and saw an explotion in the distance. It was joettas church. He got so scared that he ran to the church. It was the k.k.k. They had bombed the all black church because at that time there was racism. When kenny got there he ran inside the burning church to find joetta. When he got inside he found a little girl on the ground that was wearing the same exact thing that Joetta was wearing. She was dead and this scared Kenny. When he ran back home everything around him was really quiet. He was in shock because he thought his sister was dead. Then when he got home she was alive. He couldnt belive it.
